I am thinking of ordering the tablet from fnb, but my question is-
can i make and receive gsm calls, SMS and mms on the device?

and those who have it, is it worth it or should i go for the apple ipad?

You cant make any normal calls nnly the smaller 7" and 7+ can..
You should be able to use viper or a similar app to make calls.

As an owner of the device and hater of the completely simple os that the ipad offers i say go for it, phonecalls dont work. i can receive sms's, never tried to send coz only ever load data bundles.

love this tab, two thumbs up also got it through fnb. no hassles.
