Thanks. Buyers may be a little wary to purchase with this switching off developing into a full blown failure.
Perhaps get it repaired before offering it for sale. There was a batch of bad electrolytic capacitors floating around
a few years back which caused PSU problems. The caps tend to swell at their ends and stop working.

But excellent of you to report the problem here.

its not the cap, or anything on the pcb, it is straight up the backlight, you can still see an image if you shine a light onto the screen.
Most people on carb are electrical orientated, so they can fix it if they really want too.
It is advised however that who ever is interested should know a bit about electronics to attempt to fix it.
