@must4rdgas i also own a 50'' PT350R LG @1080p, the PT3 looks better, unless my brain is playing tricks on me. worse when im closer i claim to see more of the difference. sure even my grams can spot the difference on the 50'' 720p, lol.

What's the retail price of the other TV?

How are you comparing 720p vs 1080p?

1st ques... I bought the 50PQ10R for R12 000 Dec 2009. the PT350R retails R7999 but grabbed it for R6000 through the scratch card thingy from OK furnitures (its 3 weeks old)

2nd ques... as i mentioned above, i put them both next to each other (the 1080p and 720p LG plasmas). i used Sherlock Holmes full HD, through HDMI cable from my HTPC and also PS3. what's your suggestion though @must4rgas?

maybe im the one misunderstanding your question :)

Just checking what led you to making your decision and how you made your comparison, that's all. If you're comparing 1080p content on a 1080p vs 720p TV at the size of 50", I fully agree why you think the 1080p TV is better for the job. Of course viewing distance also plays a role in perception of 1080p, I'd hazard a guess that you sit around 2 - 3m away. For things like gaming, I don't believe the difference would be that much, since 99% of modern console games are 720p. That said, a 1080p TV would be more future proof.

All the best.

Dude, not sure why but your pic isn't them same as on the link you've posted. I can see the pic of the model number and it's the same model on the LG site but they're not the same tv. the front bezel is different or is it just the angle of the shot that makes it seem like that.

In any case it looks like a great tv. pity i'm in durbs. GLWS.

[Update]

ok guys, got PM's. sorry i couldn't reply earlier, spent days on the N2. here's what's on, seems like i'll be trading it with a local forumer ell-Dzunei, still not certain. but will consider your offers and obviously choose the crispy deal.

@ gendibal, yea they don't look the same to me too but that's the correct model Number and specs for the TV, difference on the basal i see. there's only a PQ10 and a PQ10R so that's defiantly the link intended for the TV.

@must4rdgas, fanks for the word also

also,i tried to edit the Original post, wanted to Add that for those trading with smaller displays, i'd like them to Add some cash (unless value and specs are way greater) and for those with same size or bigger, i'll smoothly up their pockets with cash too

sorry for the long crapy update, fanks
