Gigabyte RTX 3080 cards may be seeing even lower pricing . At this moment for example RTX 3080 eagle looks to be arriving at close to R 16500 may be less.

Will confirm as soon as stock lands.

I think a 2080 is enough for 1080p but not totally sure.

One can't just say 1080p anymore, what's the target frame rate, 144, 240, 360 etc.

I don't have the 2080 anymore, but I use a 240Hz monitor. I was joking though. Although, the 2080 seemed to be the perfect card for 1080p high refresh in my experience with them in the past. I've owned two 2080s and they both performed incredibly well on 1080p 240. Almost like the perfect balance between fully saturating that resolution, whilst not being the cause of any CPU bottlenecking. I will say, at this point I'd assume everyone would owns a 2080 and a 1080p screen is on one of the higher refresh rate options. With current pricing I don't think opting for 1080p 60Hz and a 2080 would make sense.
