So first off I kinda always loathed turned based RPGs ... Kinda came across like really hardcore RPG stuff for D&D only scholars that are a level higher than my IQ could comprehend

But it makes sense and a proper rpg should only be turn based as it's not about how quick you are with your keyboard and mouse skills but rather about wits and strategy. And this is ultimately what this game is about ... Strategy and really thinking about your approach before you go raging in. Making sure you study your enemies weaknesses. Your environment has never been more important as a tactical advantage in fights . Positioning of your characters also makes a difference

The game is pretty. All text is voiced over. Massive scale but one thing sets this game apart from every other rpg ... And it's the freedom in choices

Now you thinking RPGs in general do offer open world freedom and multiple choices ... Not like this. To give an example

Spoiler alert on***

One quest sees me needing to visit a cave to kill some baddie. Thing is with a normal approach you enter the cave and not too far in you are kidnapped and your party of four split and taken to different parts of the cave. Trying to get out of this situation is near impossible and I always ended up losing two of my four person party

But there was another way to get into the cave and that was to use the exit entrance ... Not very evident at first but with some out of the box thinking one can enter the correct exit and it makes it much easier clearing it all off

Spoiler alert off ***

Thing is with the game design every part of the map is available to you ... Sometimes getting there needs you to be creative . Every encounter has not one two or three ways to solve it ... But numerous. And how the developers have created this is just beyond sheer brilliance . It's like real life. Uncanny

RPGs for me after this game will never be the same. The near flawless reviews everywhere are justified. Def a must for all rpg fans

You may also enjoy Wasteland 2 from the sound of what you liked in Divinity.
Divinity 2 is on my steam wishlist, and top of my Christmas presents to me list

Tried wasteland years back ... It honestly can't be compared. The level of freedom in how you solve a situation is uncanny.

Played the first one and loved it LOVED IT!
Just have 2 many games at the moment (Destiny 2, PUBG, COD WWII)

Added both to wishlist look good also is the game soloable or require multiple party members?

Sheesh, wasn't expecting a solo'er masochist here on this forum. Annoying lot you are.
You can give your char the Lone Wolf trait and he'll get BIG buffs to most stats as long as he's alone or has max one other party member with him. And then you tell all companions to go take a nap back at base.

You are doing yourself a disservice though. This game is all about executing attack strategies with multiple chars chaining abilities. If you just want mindless drones that are close to your liking than the story chars you can generate those at the base (or at least you could in the first).

Busy replaying the first cuz I never gave it a proper shot playing the original rather than enhanced version at the time. Maybe Dec for this one like the other guy said.

Think you misread that post. I do play with multiple characters ... But not multiplayer co-op

Yeah but I'm pretty sure he's one of those solo masochists. The ones that play FF games with cheats that incapacitate the other chars in battle and despise the game if they can't do it.

He asked multiple party members, not multiplayer, there's a distinct difference and multiple party members is something only solo masochists care about.

Meant multiplayer sorry but if its turn based and other people on your team have to wait for your turn to finish or something i wouldn't want to ruin their fun or them ruin mine by leaving/going afk maybe pausing to go to the shop or something. Im happy to play multiplayer when i know for a fact im not going to leave the pc.

Ah ok. Nvm the rant then...I just hate nuts like that.

Yeah it can be played alone or co-op. It is turn-based but it's not like any turn would likely last longer than a few seconds. It's a typical CRPG but looking much better and more dynamic and less limited than all that came before (including even the previous game in the series).

This game is awesome.

Rat asks if it's dangerous, Tell him it is. Runs in and gets murdered xD.
Made a rat and pig fall in love and completed a quest.
Complete quest by reuniting father and daughter and get exp. Kill them because they have good loot and get more exp. :)

I have multiple profiles, My solo one, a co-op duo and a complete four man co-op with friends. It's fun as hell.

BUT the one thing I noticed is that though I enjoy it and like the story and environment some people don't. Myself and my duo friend play this and we theorize what the possible scenarios are then get taken back when it's something completely unexpected.
Unlike the four man co-op I have going (Which I don't want to do anymore)... the other two just want the fighting aspect of it and will kill everyone and even then they are watching youtube and have to be constantly reminded that it's their turn. So yea sort of over jamming with them. But get yourself a friend or two that really likes the complete RPG aspect of it and wham.. You have a really good experience.
