The Caveat:
The Nas itself runs wonderfully minus one issue that I cannot solve, nor, due to the nature of my work, live with.
That issue being that I cannot get either of the LAN ports to connect at 1GB. I have tried multiple cables and switches and no luck; it keeps defaulting to 100Mbps.
I need to be able to access large video and photo production files quickly, edit, export etc. I simply cannot edit on a 4k timeline at 100MBps
Now, for someone who is looking to use this in a small office to store important documents etc or, a user who wants to store/stream movies (it will stream 4k at 100MBps) or just as a home backup and storage solution (family photos, videos, homework projects etc), this will work beautifully.
The NAS will do RAID 0, 5, 6 and 10. I am including a spare 2TB for redundancy.
It's updated to the latest firmware and has tons of cool features you'd expect from a NAS.
If you are ok with a network speed of 100MB/s (200MB/s if you bond the two network ports), then great.
If you can get it working at 1GB/s, even better (and a lekker score)
The drives' health as of right now, is good
