I have taken this PIF with the hope of swopping out the display assembly on the Dell, and Re Pifing.
Unfortunately, the model i have is a Dell 3541, so it doesn't fit. However, the current repair job done on the display is holding fine.
Findings: 1 of the 2 ram slots is faulty. Battery was dead and it came with no charger
Item: Dell 3521. Re piffing with the 8GB ram from the Lenovo,
Added from my side: A used battery (about 40% health) and generic power brick [no clover cord].
I took the single 8GB ram from the Lenovo which has chassis damage and placed it in the Dell, loaded a fresh Windows 11 and Office 2021.
Age: 3rd gen, so ~ 10 years?
Warranty: none
Condition: works, except the 1 ram slot. Some hinge repair work done on the one hinge.

Shipping: Yes, your cost and risk. can do locker 2 locker @ R60
Return pif value for a used battery and charger is +- R 275 at most
rest of the laptop +- R600?
