Okay, so this took a turn for the worse.
I sold the card to @StyleMagnus, a nice guy, who paid for and collected the card.
When he tested it, it crashes to a black screen, although he can hear the OS or game sounds in the background, the USB peripherals are still lit up etc.
He has a smaller power supply and upgraded to 850watt which didn't solve the problem.
He explained what he saw as follows "I'm running into an issue where when the card starts going hard (fans turn on etc, cranking the settings up), the display cuts out and won't come back until I restart, I assume it's just PSU though, going to order a bigger one now.

After he installed a larger PSU, the problem continued.
I asked him to decide if wants to continue testing/fault finding or return the card.
He returned the card and I refunded him the payment, with no issues with the engagement. Very nice guy.

What I am stuck with now, is what to do with the card?
On my 5800x, B550 MSI board, 1000 Leadex Plat PSU, and 32GB DDR 4 3600 memory - didn't see any issues. I have 2x 32" screens via DP.
Not saying that Nic damaged it, I am saying it doesn't work for him.
For all I know, the card actually has problems.
I play League of Legends, Asseto Corsa Competizione, Destiny2, and Rocket League. I benchmarked using Unigine_Heaven-4.0 and Unigine_Superposition-1.1, and again, with no issues.

I don't have the skill to fault find the problem.
I don't know if the next user of the card will have an issue.
Thus, I will drop the sale price to R8000 if someone wants it, but be aware, that the card could have issues as per Nic's experience above. If someone takes it for R8000, I will not refund if they have further issues.
I will keep the card if no one is keen.

I've edited the price and conditions. Not interested in selling a card that could have issues without adding disclaimers.
Open to offers, perhaps someone will skill and/or time can fix this.

Just to confirm,

The card still works 100% in your PC?

Hey guys.

I originally owned this card before Rory, I had of 2 them.

One of them fans did not scale nicely with temps and was very loud(fans was 70% all time) but temps was good the other one fans did not ramp up much so it ran hotter than other one.

Though both tested more than once my side and both ran 100% and never gave me issues. The thermal pads was done and the paste.

And there you have it.
As I said, I cannot test any further. I have a new pc and when I ran this card for a few months, I didn't have an issue.
The card could be faulty. The card could be perfect.
If you want it, buiy it :)

I have new hardware, but it worked perfectly fine in my machine till i sold it. Playing the games i had was fine. As per Yourang who was the previous owner, he also had no issues.

I'll find out if i can open the new pre built pc and install the 3080 in it for testing.
Will see what i can do from a testing perspective tonight.
In the mean time, if anyone can let me know what games or products to test with, i will run those.
I will test using:
League of Legends
Asseto Corsa
Destiny2
Cyberpunk
Heaven and Superposition benchmarks

I ran benchmarks now, and cruised through them, with no issues.
Played an ARAM in League of Legends (27 mins), and ran the Farcry 5 benchmark thing in the background while doing some meetings and emails.
But, it hard crashed in Destiny2 when I launched it twice. It black screens and the monitor loses signal to the GPU.

Ran GPU-Z and found its running an old or previous BIOS.
The problem is that this is an HP card, i cannot find a way to update the bios.

Oh well, it has crashed, so the card could have wobbles. Funny that it didnt do this in my previous system.

This is wherw GPU-Z takes me when clicking the lookup card tab:

94.02.26.08.17 is the current bios
94.02.71.80.34 is the current bios from 2021-06-16

Just dont know how to update an HP card.

These downloads should perhaps help: Cant install vbios rtx 3080

Looks like other people have the same issue updating the VBIOS.
