RAM options- Intel XMP and Optimized for Ryzen

Hi Everyone

I'm looking to upgrade to a Ryzen 5000 build soon.

Is it just a marketing gimmick when it comes to ram kits that says Intel XMP vs other Kits that's "Optimized for Ryzen? If I purchase a kit that doesn't mentioned "Optimized for Ryzen" it should still work fine?

Example:
Corsair Kit - Optimized for Intel

Corsair Kit - Optimized for Ryzen

AFAIK it just means it's compatible with all Ryzen motherboards, but I think it's hit & miss.
Rather check your motherboard's QVL against the kits you're looking at.

Use the Motherboard QVL guide at all times, as Gigglez has said. Its key.
