Looking for advice on ram choices! Have spent the last few hours trying to understand what to pick but with SO many variations of speed, cas and whether bdie or not...I am having a tough time! I have been out of the PC buying/building market for over 5 years so a bit lost.
System will be
10850k (oringially was set on ryzen 9 3900 (then do the settings tweeks to get it to run same as 3900x, then was going to use BL2K8G36C16U4B ram)
Asus Z490 (not sure which variant yet)
Gpu undecided as of yet, was bouncing between 3070 and RX6800, but I think i want to wait until the super's/ti's are released in the RTX 30xx series and see what come of them.
I am after 32gb total, unsure whether to go 4 x 8gb or 2 x 16gb here.
It seems the 10900k guys aim to get there ram set to 4000mhz with as low cas as possible, what is the significance here ? Im assuming it is the Goldylocks zone for this CPU?
Uses of the PC is going to be for 3k video editing, premiere pro, after effects and Warzone.
To make thing simple for my uneducated brain, would the guru's recomend me 3 or 4 choices? Starting with number 1 being MOST expensive with best performance possible, and working downwards towards the sweetspot of price/performance ratio
