As a small side project I have added a drive rack to my HP MicroServer! :)

I have received my Intel® RAID Controller SRCSAS144E for my HP Micro Server and installed the Vantec EZ-Swap 4x 2.5" Mobile Rack in the HP Microserver. Added below is some pics! :)

In this picture at the top you can see the extra SATA cable running from the outside eSata port routed to the inside where i will add an additional 2.5" drive which will be the OS drive to control them all! :D

4x3tb and 4x1tb , gogo :p

Yea that's about what i'm looking to add! :D Hard drives just just lank expensive these days! Will be adding them month by month.. CUD got me bad the last month! :p

What is the best value for money now 2TB or 3TB? :)

The 2.5" drives is going to be a tricky one, either 5400rpm 1TB drives or 7200rpm 750GB drives!?!? All they will be used for is media streaming so I guess 5400rpm wouldn't have such a huge impact?! :) Copy speeds will be the biggest impact! :(

yeah get 5400rpm, they are fine for media usage.

3tb i would go for the cheapest one, make sure you flash bios or firmware or something so that the MS server supports 3tb, otherwise just use 2tb's
