Just some info around this. I just got off the phone with Partserve with regards to my console and I was advised that they read the info off the Serial number and that I don't need the slip. Might take mine in tomorrow so will be able to confirm 100%.

Took my console in and had no issues booking it in, the only downside is they don't have stock so I have to wait. and they DID ask me for my slip so the original post was correct.

You also get a 3 month warranty on the replacement unit that I think is nice.
