Project : Phantom WC project

Ok so basically I have been hunting around a lot for a decent wc system. Thanks to rav3n72 I was able to get a decent system.

1 x XSPC RS360 Triple Radiator
3 x Zalman Quiet 120mm fan
3 x XSPC G1/4″ to 1/2″ Barb (Black Chrome, Twin Pack)
1 x Silver Kill Coil for Watercooling Loop
1 x Hose clamps 17.0-18.5mm (10 pack)
1 x XSPC RayStorm CPU WaterBlock (Intel)
1 x XSPC X2O 750 Dual 5.25” Bay Reservoir Pump

Since the CPU block is for Intel I was able to PPC an AMD one in with thanks to cerberus.

Picked up a Nzxt Phantom modded case from OGF™ which I plan to build it in.

Basically this is just going to be a single loop for my cpu.

When I get my next pay check I will be buying a second 7870 Hawk for crossfire.

Then I plan to add in a single 120 mm Rad at the back and possibly a single 140 mm Rad at the front depending on how much space there is to work with. The 120 mm Triple Rad will be at the top. Then going to add in a dual loop for my two cards and a decent fan controller (or two). Also going to add in some lighting and colorful cabling to make it look all pretty

Will be uploading pics along the way.

Not sure if your going to find waterblock's for the 7870hawk's as I think they don't make these, I have been searching around for them but cant find any.

If you find them can you plz link me to them?

according to EK's cooling config, there is no block like that that fits the HAWK.

Hmm I have no proof they fit. As I said I will be ordering myself one in January and I will let you know if they do.

just wanted to give shout since according to EK's cooling configurator, they have no block like that that will fit the HAWK.

but ofc if you are willing to give it a test it could help those here that may actually want to do it.

As I said in the pm it fits the MSI MSI R7870 Twin Frozr 2GD5 which the heat sink is identical to the hawk edition , so I do not see a reason why it wont fit the hawk. If it doesnt fit well then I would have proved myself wrong

Typical!!! dont know if you guys know of this site but you can track international items coming in (will only appear once landed here) and if your in JHB you can actually go through to the airport (ems office is behind the airport) when its got "sent to customs" status to pick it up so it completely bypasses the post office...

Lol it got lost in the post after he picked it up from customs. They sent it to the wrong branch in Durban and they could not find the package. After fighting with SS for a day they managed to find it and I picked it up this morning. Will be uploading pics soon , got my rig put together and just doing a 24hr leak test
