Hi,

Long story short, something chewed on the cable between the power brick and the monitor, it started smoking, monitor won’t turn on. Tried cutting out chewed section and reconnecting, still not working.

Can someone help me with information on where I can find a replacement? Will be contacting Samsung tomorrow but I am hoping for a quicker and cheaper solution.

" it started smoking" Smoke = bad.

What smoked? LCD or the power brick? If LCD, you're better off tossing it or claiming from insurance. If there are no known pets who did the aforementioned chewing of the cable, you may have some satanic cockroaches or mice / rats.

See if somebody can test the line output before you buy a new one. Problem could just as well be on the monitor. Rather test and be sure than buying a new/other power brick and be out of that money as well as a monitor.

hi its not a perfect thing but you can snip it off and use a 12volt 2.5amp + replacement will be silly expencive to order an samsung brick atleast just to test the white is +

if you close to Centurion side could assist with a power brick to test you monitor.
else you should also be able to test this at some computer shops

or maybe you have one of these power bricks laying around just to test with, just note that positive is sometimes swapped around on these power bricks and monitor might not have polarity protection as samsung wouldnt be expecting people to use other power supplies...
