Morning morning!! Afraid not! I have the exact same printer at work so I brought the printhead and cartridges in and tested them out here and no dice! So I tried the faulty printhead and current cartridges and got the printhead error. I then removed all the cartridges and replaced with the cartridges that were working with my office HP and still got the printhead error... I'm battling man! Need to find that part me thinks but it's almost the same price as a new printer!!! Hahaha, HP, gotta love em...

Keep that for spares for the office, and buy another printer / use a print shop. Printing, in general, is a colossal waste of money unless your business received 20% or > revenue from printing, but even then its touch and go. Maybe rent a unit as then they cover service, warranty and ink.

Yeah, I hear you. Printer is probably around 2 years old, print maybe on average 50 pages a month, home office, some things have to be printed for our records, POP's etc generally I steer away from printing anything if I can help it... Such a great printer the 8600Pro but this is a soft retirement and unexpected. Coincided with a power outage, maybe a surge took out the printhead. Who knows...?? Anyway... later bro...

Man that sucks. The printer industry is such a money making scheme if you look at cartridge / toner costs vs a new printer never mind trying to actually source parts.

final bump, if I can't find the replacement part looks like I'll be buying a new printer!

You won't believe the markup the large retailers make...95% of the time I can beat their pricing on laser toners incl delivery (all original) and they obv buy HUGE volumes... I recon they're making at least 80% NETT profit on them.
