Position offered: Part-time junior IT remote support tech in West Rand area.

A buddy of mine runs a medium sized MSP and is looking for a junior IT support technician in the West Rand area. Initially the position will be part-time, work from home (3 days a week; with option for flexi-hours) with opportunities to expand into full-time onsite support in the future depending on performance and skills.

Requirements:
Access to uninterrupted power and internet connectivity
Microsoft 365 admin certification or at least 1 year experience
Windows Server Admin certification or at least 1 year experience
Must be fluent in both Afrikaans and English
Good communication skills and telephone/email etiquette with experience as onsite/remote IT support technician

Experience as or access to the following is advantageous but not required:
Basic understanding of VPN's and routing
PC hardware troubleshooting and maintenance
Sharepoint admin
Azure and Active Directory admin
Hyper-V admin
Ubiquiti network admin
Own vehicle


Remuneration dependent on experience and skills at industry standard rates.

The idea is for the technician to attend weekly staff meetings and eventually be able to do onsite visits in the area so that's why the position is specifically aimed at guys in the West Rand. Elsewhere around Jhb also an option but has to at least live in GP.
