Performance mod suggestions for a fiesta st

Bud,

On a serious note, do a down pipe and software - best Rand per HP you can do. If you troll the Ford ST forums, i'm sure you'll find second hand systems available. I tried both dream science and Revo on my ST, both companies made very good maps. Caution with warranty, doing this will void anything you have.

A cat back system is good for noise and around 7% power increase, be very careful to buy a system that doesn't drone - do your research before you buy. Also check with your Ford dealership, they shouldn't have a problem with a cat back system.

Edit: I wouldn't do a blow off valve, or dump valve. The novelty wears off after 2 gear changes! possibly the most annoying sound, ever.

The problem is I wanted to be a hero and extend the service plan, so I bought the car at 28000km and the service plan runs until 100000km. I'll do annual services so I've got 2 more to go, so 1 later this year and then next year. During this time I only want to mod stuff that I can easily change back to stock for when the car goes in for a service. Like the induction for example, my assumption is its just the filter and pipes so that I can swap out the day before service

Contact Revo (VAG Cafe).
They've done an array of fast Fiesta ST's. Stage 2 would be intake, software and a down pipe - good for around 150-160. Add water meth and you should be good for another 5-10wkw.

So apparently the 2012-2014 fiesta St is the latest fire hazard that Ford announced, oh happy days

Take it to ford and they will do an awesome coolant mod, and other important mods. Doendt give more kw's but it does prevent forest fires.

They apparently only getting the parts for the mod in Q4 this year

I had a noisy/fast car, trust me you don't want a noisy car if you don't want to race. The issues I had with that car:

1. Everything rattled at good speed due to the exhaust noise. Coins, keys, sunglasses, CDs, everything.
2. I had to push the car down the road and start it a block away if I wanted to go anywhere "secretly", because starting it late at night woke up half the block (specially if it's cold).
3. Because it sounded fast, people challenged me a lot more. Most often in these crock old Citi Golfs in the light blue and white colour coding. Where? Carletonville. My GF studied in Potch and I drove through there. Every.single.stop. Some dude would pull in next to me, raise his eyebrows at me and rev his whatever.

What I usually did with "racers" was rev back, put the car into first, wait for green and raise the revs, wait for him to speed off and then casually and slowly pull away without taking part in the "race".

PS: Number 1 became more than an annoyance after a few months. Even some screws started coming loose because of the exhaust vibration.

Just follow this mans advice and end the thread, I also tend do dwell around the area where you drive and lets just be honest, racing wont impress your misses if you do have one next to you.
Furthermore if the mentality exists that you will need to do a robot to robot every day, how long do you expect the milk carton to stay full ?

Last one, don't go to a money pit when there is no need to.

Trust me with all of fords issues I no longer want to mod anything on this car. Simply going to buy something thats faster while stock. Got my eye on an a5, those pesky citi golfs and polo vivos dont bother audis

Sell the ST - buy a GTI. Done.

Yoh, looks like your thread has been going on since the 80's haha.
Sell your ST, go back to the old faithful Corolla, no more fire hazard. Or you can get a 86, no hassles with boost and all that complicated stuff.
BTW, the A5 is a donkey.

In my opinion a Toyota 86 is a donkey as well. [emoji85]

There is more to a car than brute force. If all you care about is going fast in a straight line, then yes it is.
By any other measure its a fantastic car.

If the fuel consumption matched that of the fiesta then I would have bought the 86 instead, that was the single deciding factor in my car choice because of the distance I travel to work, 100km per day is no joke if the car averages over 7l per 100km, if a new 86 comes out with under 7l consumption I'll be all over that

With subaru engine [emoji14]

Could have sworn I saw your scooby the other week, the bug eye. When that whole protest nonsense was going on I had to detour towards brakpan. Granted it was simply a grey bug eye around brakpan, but I know you own 1 and you're in brakpan so I automatically assumed "yes thats the carb guy"

Hmm, that depends, was it dark silver/grey with bronse rims? Or was it silver with Botswana plates? If the 1st o e, then yes, it would be me [emoji14]

Suggestion here...why not look at a volvo v40 T5, you will have the performance you want for these roads, the comfort of doing 100km a day and its a sleeper.

My D3 on a straight line challenges a 86 without breaking a sweat and I get about 820km per day also doing 100km a day to work and back in total.
