I'm sure a lot of guys will gladly assist.
Is it a prebuilt pc? Can you not take it to whomever you bought it from, or was it a 2nd hand pc?

You are welcome to drop it with me, I will have a look, but I am in Randburg. Someone closer to you side might be able to assist too.

My first guess is that either you are plugging your screen into the motherboard instead of the graphics card, or you have not installed drivers for your 3070.

yes it was pre built. That guy has become faulty and keeps saying it should be fine. They're a relatively big org so will not name them. The support from them is rather terrible

drivers are up to date and i've got the display port plugged in the gpu.

That wouldn't cause it to turn off.
It's probably a cooling issue.
usually occurs when i load in games. The pc just switches off. It has gotten to the point where i just use my ps5 now

In line with what eyetac said, download HWMonitor and see what temps you're hitting. What CPU do you have?

First thing I would check is what power supply you have in the computer. Should be inside, probably at the bottom, and it will say 550W, 650W, 750W or something like that.

Please check what it is and let us know.

Also, do as above and use HWMonitor to check the temeratures of your CPU and GPU.

Do all the fans spin when the PC is on?

I saw this thread, might be worth checking as well with Ryzen Master if your temps are fine

Oh dang. That's a custom loop. I don't know if your usual Matrix or Incredible Connection will be able to troubleshoot that for you.

Is the guy you got it from really refusing to help?

Ya, definitely wouldn't take a pc like that to Matrix or IC.

We can defs help you try isolate the issue, but having someone who know's what they are doing physically help you, will be first prize.

man, you should name them. If their support is this bad it will prevent someone else from ending up in the same situation. Sometimes it might just be the person you're dealing with that's a bum. And others here may have more contacts at the "big org" that could help you.

Antec EAG PRO 750 Watt Gold PSU
about 5/9 fans are currently spinning, the gpu ones are too
temperatures out game;
cpu: 43c
gpu: 32c
in game
cpu; 60C
gpu; 48

he just doesnt reply bro

Ok, so it's not a cooling issue

PSU is more than suffice.
Is in game performance really poor?
Have you got 3dMark to get a baseline score to compare with systems with the same spec?

The shutting down is a very weird one considering the PSU is 750w Gold.

What kind of shutdown is it. Hard turn off, or bluescreen and restart or straight up restart?

Remove those rgb streamer cables, plug the psu cables straight into board and gpu

That's a good start

But his pc is pretty advanced based on the specs he shared. Would need to know what he's doing.

yeah the performence isnt great. at times it will work just fine but then once it switches off it just never works the same. it is a black screen then a restart. It often reboots into safe mode, where it looks 2d
will check out 3d mark

@dash09 is in your neck of the woods. Maybe offer him some beers for a look at what's wrong?

Fair point.
@xans you able to able to remove the cables or need help? I'm in benoni as well so you welcome to pm me if you need help.

Why I suggest the cables is because I've experienced the same symptoms and for me the cause was faulty cable extensions

i won't be able to do it myslef. Chances are i'd mess something up. i will message you, thank you

Wait
yep well that was the orgs supplier
Wait, so you brought it from someone, whom brought it from Evetech, which seems to be a custom loop... Eish man

You really like looking for trouble apparently.

Seems like you sorted, something basic was the problem, makes sense if it comes from Evetech.
