My apologies for the delay regarding your refund.
Please note i will follow up with accounts and revert.

Up to date I have not received further communication and it seems my emails are being ignored. This was supposed to be an investment but is turning into a heartache. Please advise.

If you used payfast "hopefully" to make payment, contact them in order to get money refunded.

I don't think anyone on Carbonite can help you get money back from PC Link. They haven't used their official account here in ages. Also you are tagging random Carbonite members (Grant and Dehan) that have nothing to do with PC Link, which won't help either.

As @Ballbreaker said if you used PayFast you can request assistance through them. Else you can go to their physical address and see if anyone there can help, that has worked for other members.

But other than giving you advice, nothing can be done by Carbonite or its members to get your money back.

I also recommend you remove your email address from the post above to prevent people from scamming you.

Eish, surely they can refund via EFT?

Hope you come right. If emails are ignored, then phoning or pitching up in person would be best.

You could probably get hold of Mustek Business park and get their number to phone.

they refunded 2 orders of mine last week due to stock unavailaiblity (via payfast eft) so it is definitely possible.

Thanks for the advice guys, just so frustrating. I was advised to try carbonite as it has resolved similar matters. I have never been involved in a situation like this.

I was looking to purchase a laptop from them but did a quick google search and the reviews were shocking (mostly on service). So glad I dodged a bullet and First Tech managed to do a price match. Hope you come right.

If emails are ignored, then phoning
One would think... However the last time I phoned them I just got an automated message saying "due to covid we have switched off our phone lines, please email ....." After googling and reading the stories I decided not to buy there.

I had the same experience with them a few months back. And I live doer and gone from where they are physically located so visiting their offices wasn't an option for me. In the end though after a couple of ignored emails and just persisting with the emails, the refund did eventually come through. Very slow, but eventually.... I think they try and do the right thing by their clients but the processes are just very very slow and long winded.

Getting in touch with the Business park management would probably be a good idea since they will have contact details for the owner most likely... Surely the owner would not have switched off their personal numbers? Unless they seriously criminal and just disappeared.

They are not located in a business park, they're in a house in a residential area in Florida. Their phone lines have been off since the start of lockdown. They're definitely not a scam enterprise, their service is just seems very unreliable based on comments of the OP and many others.

Thank you so much for the advise. We contacted payfast and they resolved the problem. I got a e-mail from them today confirming the refund was processed. What a relief...

My advice is to avoid PCLinkComputers / PCLinkShop, simply because they are completely unreachable.

Their telephone numbers are answered by a synthetic voice telling you to email them if you need support.

In my most recent interaction with them, they haven't responded to a single email I sent them ([email protected]; [email protected]), i.e. zero customer service. This leads me to believe that I'm in for a world of hassle should I ever need a warranty replacement and their after-sale service is also non-existent.

This bad service is going to catch up with them sooner or later, they definitely lost a customer in me, and anyone who Googles their service before making a purchase will steer clear.

Support them at your own risk.

I'm out of R2000 using Pc Link Computers.

They just never reply and ignore all requests for feedback.

May this be a warning to all other members on this forum NOT to use these scammers!
