I am looking for a later (preferably 6th) gen i5/i7 pc with ram and case for use as a plex media server at a childrens' home in swaziland.
I have posted before, and got a few generous offers, but not quite up to the spec I need.
Recently there was a post for an i5 6500 dell optiplex for R1800, which I missed, but would have been ideal
I donated the previous server about 5 years ago (an i7 3770), but it broke down and needs replacing.
I am funding this out of my own pocket, which is not very deep, so any discount/assistance would be appreciated.
Later Gen Intel CPUs have decent quicksync engines, which make them ideal for a lower power consumption system.
The system will be online 24/7 to serve movies and educational content to the (mostly)volunteer staff. It also hosts offline wikipedia, a minecraft edu server, Kahn Academy and Project Gutenberg.
I will be in Rayton (near PTA) until the 12th of April, after that I will be returning to Swaziland
