Hey guys,

So I did a small job for someone in the states and they paid me via Paypal to my account in dollars.. but I can't transfer these funds to my actual bank account for some reason? Does anyone know if this is possible in SA otherwise suggestions on stores I can actually use Paypal with in SA? It seems to be rarely used in our country.

Sell the PayPal dollars on here for ZAR. It's the simplest I can think of.

you have to link it to your bank account - FNB allows you to do this but charge a small fee.

Best option would be to sell the dollars here or buy something abroad using it :p

You have to initiate the transfer from the FNB portal, not from the PayPal site.

You can only do it via FNB.

You don't need to have an FNB account, just an FNB profile to transfer Paypal.

But much easier/cheaper to just sit on the money and use it to buy stuff down the line.

If you have anything that uses Digital Prepaid Cards pretty easy to just buy those at various places.
