Hi Boys 'n Grills,
I'm reaching out to the overclocking gods about the possibility in overclocking my current PC.
Motherboard: ASRock Z270 Taichi
CPU: Intel i7 7700 (non-K)
Cooler: Raijintek Triton 240 Water Cooled
GPU: Galax GeForce GTX 1060 6GB EXOC
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws (2x8GB) 2666Mhz
PSU: Cooler Master MWE Gold 750W
I suppose the rest doesn't really matter.
Currently everything is running standard, GPU and CPU haven't attempted to be overclocked, with the exception of me trying out the XMP Profile in my BIOS once. Don't think the PC liked it, so I reverted back straight away.
I know there's no actual method of overclocking non-K CPUs, apart from adjusting the BCLK in the BIOS. I've read multiple forums where people say it's safe and some state it isn't, so I was wondering whether a trustworthy South African could offer some advice in the matter, specific to my setup.
Thanks in advance.
