This keyboard has been on my desk for 4+ years ever since I first put together my own gaming rig and was short a keyboard and started using it "in the meantime" and have never looked back.
It was part of and OLD IBM 486 used at a branch for FNB in the years gone by. My aunt who worked there bought a rig when they were upgrading and had it retrofitted as a gaming PC for my cousin. Years went by and she passed it on to me as my first computer, but alas it fell into disuse since it couldn't really do anything other than some 8bit games and I got a PS2 console and played on that. Some more years passed, I was building myself a new gaming PC of my own and cheaped out on buying a keyboard, using it thinking i'd buy another one later. which i never did coz it worked so well.

It really is fantastic to type on, it's just really loud so that will annoy you if your not the one doing the typing.

Shit this is amazing

Good luck with the sale man!

Package it safely? This is clearly a fake then. I've got one too and it feels like it would survive the house falling on it so if you're is legit it shouldn't need safety packaging.

:p

Sigh, I wish they still made buckling spring keyboards. When everyone was raving about mechanical I always thought that was what they meant, not a fancy plastic switch. Was so disappointed when I found it wasn't the case.

Buy this one for a really unique feel guys, you likely won't become a Battle Royale champion but you will develop an extreme dislike for MX Blues. That said do these even still work on modern systems? Always thought I had to keep mine mated to the 286 it was used on.

I won't be able to sleep now. Been looking for one for so long, but couldn't find anyone selling a '93 model locally.

Call me overly cautious then... I assure you it's no fake LOL
Actually Unicomp are still producing the Model M to this day. but I can't vouch for it...

Please check your inbox bud. I’m super keen on buying the board.

The temptation to get yet another one is strong. But one's already plenty!

I've been using my 1996 Model M at work for over a year now, they're awesome boards! And indeed quite big, loud and heavy, one does not simply move a Model M around on a desk by accident. Also, if sharing an office, it's recommended to get other people on mechanical keyboards as well to maintain the peace. :p

What a great board indeed. The time has come my friend to say goodbye. After a lot of thought, I have decided to sell and let someone else enjoy this greatness for themselves.

Sold to PandaAttack1, pending the usual.
