I now own a Samsung Neo G9 and was content with my life and setup until I strolled into a store on the weekend and spotted someone playing a game on a Samsung G8. Now I can't help but imagine how Cyberpunk would look on an OLED monitor.
I'm researching OLED monitors and it appears that there are many complaints regarding Samsung G8 burn in after roughly a year and no guarantee for burn in. The Alienware offers a three-year guarantee, but reportedly they do not replace out monitors, instead giving you a refurbished monitor, and there have been complaints about scratched or older refurbished monitors.
I've always received good advice on this forum so I was curious what everyone else thought. My question is, given the high cost of these monitors, is it worth the risk? What is the expected lifespan of an OLED monitor? I think a lot of people on this forum might have had their OLED monitors for at least 2 years now.
