I have tested drives up to 16TB in it and never had any issues. The 4GB makes it way more responsive than most off the shelf NAS solutions in the same price range, which usually ship with only 1GB/2GB. This is especially true when muultiple files are being accessed. TrueNAS works fine, but I settled on OMV running off the Micro-SD card since it was just being used as a JBOD mirror.
LibreELEC and OpenELEC both work well if you want this to do the heavy lifting for video playback. S905X3 plays everything you can throw at it, up to and including 4K/HEVC.
Only thing that's worth noting is this is a 24/7 NAS solution without a power button so it will automatically startup after every power state change/loadshedding.
I will provide all the username and passwords, but you should change those for your own peace of mind.
