hahahha Okies :p :p

I'm only DMG though.
Steam Community :: Paws

Ranks don't mean TOO much. It's more important to be a useful member of the team.
I've played with LE dudes that I outplayed... and I've had my ass handed to me by MG1 when I am DMG.
For me, I find that being with peeps who communicate with and are lekker oaks is more important.

See the following that happened the other night. LOL

completely agree man, I've held my own against LEM and also been rekt by nova's. Its a team game. Rank is just a good way to gauge not the be all and end all of your skills.

Add me on steam, Be happy to have more people to Jam with.

Not_Sean had a lekker game with you! Net jammer jy verstaan nie afrikaans nie :p

to be fair the only way to rank up in CS:GO is to be useful, the only things effecting your rank is MVP/rounds won/current elo

Partly true... you can be carried by friends or people you've paid with skins.
Being carried is not cool... cos then you end up with DMG, LE etc who really battle and can't even actually play the game.

i guess, but you will rank up slowly as hell if you are not contributing

The rank system is cray cray yo!!! zaffer will tell you... He was our top fragger carry ou all the time... I am usually mid to bottom...I ranked up twice before he even ranked once... I actually overtook his rank. lol.

like i stated kills are not worth shit unless you get mvp

Ill carry you guys - ill take payment in pc parts :p haha

Na its a big problem hey, iv even had people ask if they can buy my accounts just to say they are global, but i bet if they did and they played one game they would go 0-20 or something dum and it just ruins the game for all the other player

the worst is doing a comp with a person that wants to derank...

mvp counts toward your elo award, thats why every second mofo wants to defuse the bomb/plant the bomb

Elo point calculation is not crazy complex, but there are many rules involved.
i.e. If you have more points currently than the other team you are "expected" to beat them... therefore if they beat you they take many points from you.

Points are calculated every round. The total points taken from the opposing team are split up between the team... With the person who gets MVP getting a bigger share.
Ranking and Deranking happens at the end of a game... I've ranked up on a draw before, maybe even a loss... can't remember...
BUT...that's cos we played against an overall higher level team, meaning that for the rounds we DID win we got many elo points and for the rounds we lost we didn't lose too many...
So if we lost 16 - 14 we overall made positive points.

and those people are so annoying omg some sommer shoots you in the head to defuse (what the idiot does not know team damage decreases elo )

cant rank on loss

your kD ratio does not count towards allot of elo in cs(and this is a damn good thing else people would play like cod kids just to get kills )

it apparently is actually possible, if you are extremely close to ranking up and you lose a game lets say 14/16 and you had 10 Mvps etc etc and played against a much higher elo enemy team, you should gain a little bit of elo and hence rank up. but the chances are so slight.

thats what i like about it. oh just something interesting i just bought battlefield 4 last night and went into a game with 3 of my friends in a hardcore bolt action sniper free for all, i slaughtered them(even tho its my first time playing bf4 and they have loads of hours) thank you awp

i still say its impossible i have searched on the cs forums and Reddit for this answer people say it has happened but no proof has ever been provided so i cannot believe this its the same as saying you moved up a bracket on league of legends, both games work on a similar Elo system .on a Draw def will be able to because you don't lose elo on draw and you could gain more then you lose

basically the easiest way to answer this question is, can you gain elo even tho you lose a game

if it was possible to rank on a lose it should also be possible te derank on a win ,its a team game that's what counter strike is all about they would not do this so would it be fair if i would rank in a match and in the same match my team mate deranks??

I reckon they should allow a derank on a draw.
That way people who are partying with much higher people so they can get carried to higher ranks would get "punished" cos they can't play at that level... so they shouldn't be playing at that level.

What is elo? I just worry about the XP points thingy that moves to the right when I shoot bad guys.

iv never seen a derank on a win or draw but i have ranked up on a loss before

look bud not calling BS or anything i just cannot believe that anyone would rank on a loss
