New to Playstation

Hi all

I'm new to the Playstation environment. I am very comfortable around my PC and my Xbox. I generally use the XB for Netflix and YouTube. Are there any specific apps I need to get for the Playstation to get the most out of it? I can pop the disk in and play, but beyond that I have no idea what the PS can offer me?

Any input (and PSN friends) would be greatly appreciated!

PS4 is great for gaming mostly with some of those awesome exclusives. The PS4 Pro allows for 4K gaming on 4K TVs.

Xbox One is seen as the better console if you use it for a media centre due to native 4K DVD drive and 4K Media support is supposedly better or so. I see you use yours for Netflix and YouTube so that's ideal.

I'll keep a watch to see if anyone uses their PS4 for any other strange use.
