Hi carbies, I'm new here, I used to love the custom build world but I've been out of the PC game for a while now and a mate convinced me to do a build again

I've been doing a fare amount of research and so far I'v been purchasing bits as they came up, mostly from Evetech but won't be buying the rest from there.

Vega 64 LE - From here: R4200
HyperX Predator DDR4 RGB 3200Mhz 16GB RAM - Best Deal - South Africa : R1599
Samsung 970 EVO 500GB NVMe SSD - Best Deal - South Africa : R1799

I just need the CPU, Mobo and PSU

It was supposed to be an itx build but I'm looking at the MSI B450 Carbon AC: MSI Global

PSU: Something from Corsair

Now I can't decide between the Ryzen 7 1700X or the 2700 especially due to Ryzen 3000 being around the corner
Not sure if the memory support is worth pushing it to the 2700

Amazon.com: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Processor (YD170XBCAEWOF): Computers & Accessories : $169.98 + $36.63 Shipping & Import Fees Deposit to South Africa = R2980,10
https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-Processor-Wraith-Cooler/dp/B07B41717Z : $214.88 + $47.29 = R3781,49

There's also the 2600 which could perform better in gaming than the 1700X
https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Processor-Wraith-Stealth-Cooler/dp/B07B41WS48 : $149.99 + $35.90 = R2681,24

Any input appreciated

Or you could just buy a 2700 x and get done hey then again a 9700k would be lovely if the build was intel all the way

With the 2700 x u getting 2 game keys flog them and consider the mobo discounted rather simple also if you want some bling bling added ,rebeltech has these gskill in stock

9700k is an amazing processor, but up to you.
I haven't OC'ed mine, but on an air cooler, it idles at around 25^*c, so no heat issues...

Thanks guys, it's an underdog build so AMD it is, got a Ryzen 2600 at a great price (R2115), not sure if it will include the two games from the retailer, purchased the RAM listed above prior to this, would have loved some Team Night Hawk but these came up on sale locally.

Mobo this weekend, PSU soon to be here and then just planning of the water cooling
