New CPU (7800X3D) coming this weekend - any tips or advice from fellow AMD X3D users?

Pics dammit!

How's she running?
I'll share pics soon - case is a bit dusty. Or actually, i'll share when home. Let it remain dusty!

I have been fiddling a little bit and so far did the following:
  • Upgraded to latest BIOS with agesa changes,
  • Changed from Win11 to Win10 (and activated, thanks to Carbonite classifieds :) )
  • Enabled AMD SAM
  • Disabled iGPU, bluetooth, wifi, and Asus ROG LED's while powered off (this one triggered me a little bit),
  • Enabled AMD EXPO and enabled PBO all core negative offset of 20 (for some slight undervolting).

Did Cinebench R24 to test all core performance, hits 4.9GHz all cores at around 1.09V peak and had a peak temperature of 81c! This is with the Corsair H150i on complete auto (not running icue software). Can perhaps reduce this slightly if i keep running the icue software to maintain extreme profile on pump and ~65% duty cycle on fans. But the CPU is not as spicy as the 11900K, so think can get away by using it completely auto (one less application running).

Did anyone further fiddle with the 7800X3D to get it 5GHz all cores, or is that too risky on this chip? Perhaps will try offset of 30 tonight and see how much that helps. Temperature-wise, this is looking absolutely fantastic. I remember spending a week fiddling with the 11900K to get it just about perfect ratio of OC to temperature.

So far extremely happy with the build and feels nice to be back on complete AMD setup. Haven't been complete AMD build since FX-8350 bulldozer with HD7870.

Did you find disabling the iGPU helped for performance? Or do you disable it more for the memory resources it takes up?

When I was installing all my drivers, I checked out the device manager and found that the driver was still missing (pending update from Windows update). This just triggered me to disable it, as I have no need for the iGPU. :)
