Need to get a car, wtf is up with all these prices?!

Also something strange: when they did the finance check, the interest rate I was getting with a 40% balloon was 11.3%.

I said, "no Balloon, I'll be putting a deposit of X" (around 25% of the price)

Quote comes back and the interest rate goes up to 11.5%

The fuq?

So I say, okay, 10% deposit no balloon, interest is now at 11%, so prime + 0.25.

Banks?!

Weird, but say you do your income and expenses then you have 10k left over for a car, and if you do 25% deposit/no balloon/24 months your monthly payment is 9k then 9k/10k = 90% so it's kinda borderline so you get shafted with a higher rate, vs doing 10% deposit/50% balloon/72 months and the monthly payment is only 3k/10k then you're super amazing and you get a great rate.
Weird but that's basically the logic, so play around a bit and then end up doing a deal on 72 months but schedule a payment or something that would equal what you know you really should be paying.

Lol I'm looking here at all these responsible people with good suggestions, and I'm just like shit, I didn't think of any of this when my little girl was born,

When she was born, I drove a very modified Alfa guilietta, a slk55 AMG, and modified type R,

Now with the next one on the way I have a 370z that's getting boosted, the SLK 55amg, so thinking about getting, rc350f and bolting a super charger on it as a family car,

but then misses has a jolion now so I guess that's kinda responsible

T cross is a brilliant car, ticks all the boxes and a really nice drive, we considered one when we were looking for bigger car for the misses, the only reason we chose the haval over it was the misses works a lot in town because the courts are there, so with it being a high risk car we decided against it,

When we were looking the cars we were considering were the,

Volvo V40 d3, amazing car that, with great fuel economy, (1200km on the full tank) comfortable, reliable and affordable, for me this was the top pick

T cross, as I said nice car just high risk,

Jolion well that's what we ended up with over all nice car with plenty of features and the misses is very happy with it, she gets a out 8l/100km, after sales service has been good so far (about 2 years)

Merc a250 the misses couldn't get comfortable in the driving position, and neither could I, we also found it small compared to the other cars,

BMW 1 series and x1 (older models) the misses wasn't happy with the cars, I just think she has something against BMW but I quite liked them, the 1 series is surprisingly big, and can get great fuel economy out of them

And the jeep can't remember the model but the smaller SUV, again I quite liked it the misses said no but also I don't have much experience with them

So this may not be the reply you want but I bought a new Ranger FX4 last year just because I wanted a new car. Needless to say, i am now kicking myself because I may as well have just waited a year and sus the market out more, as the new Rangers are actually very well specced and not much much more than my current go for more test drives and just do more research. I guess what im trying to say is dont buy just because you need a bigger car. Ive found the smaller hatches like the i20's are huge in the rear and you really dont need more space if you only have 1 mini version of yourself.
