Hi guys, so I got a proprietary Dell motherboard with cpu from a friend. But with Dell being Dell, the pins for the power is their own design and I can't for the life of me figure out where the front panel connections go/how to jump it

I tried googling but I can't find a definite answer.

The motherboard is Mih61r mb and I think it comes out of inspiron 620.

I just want to use it as a media pc for my mom to watch Netflix and dstv now etc and I would like to avoid having to buy a new motherboard, especially since everyone looks for lga1155 boards. Either that or I have to get more ddr2 ram to run an e6300 pentium system

Thanks in advance for any help

Im guessing you tried to google the manual for the model number of the mobo but nothing came up?

Afaik dell doesn't give out info on their boards. I found the manual for the pc that it's supposed to be in but no info for the pin layout.

Only info I found was that the pins for power is on the 5 pin(6 with one empty) at the top right next to the ram, but I can't figure it out.

The orange light on the mobo comes on when I plug the 24 and 4pin in so I ASSUME the board is working

Eh, I don't know if they still do but Dell has used non-ATX pinouts for the 24 pin connector in the past.
