Need GPU advice please?? HD6970 ?

Howzit guys

I just bought a MSI z97 g45 MB, and i7 4790 CPU and 16gb 1600 ram, so the problem is I have a HD5770 card... I can get a HD6970 for R1100..... would this be adfecent enough card for the system or would the card be way too small? also would it work good with the system?

Any Advice would be awesome

These cards are pretty decent - you have to consider what brand and warranty / reliability and condition of card.

they damn noisey at full speed i have 1 but i play crysis on high on a 1600x900 res and get about 40fps

You should also check that your power supply can handle the card.

I'm pretty sure you would be able to, although at medium/high quality graphics. That 6970 is definitely no slouch, but it is quite old.

I'd really look at getting something else hey.. Possibly this.

Dracius how about the Asus GTX570? I see its bench scores are high.. but is that really a 1gb card? Im confused as to how it gets 4388 score ?

Hennie, go look at the 7970 Matrix for sale by [MENTION=416]reactor_sa[/MENTION]
Its a little out of your budget but am sure you can negotiate with him.

I just looked now, if I look at thebenchmark differences vs price difference between the two, the 570 seems like an awesome buy is it not? The guy wants R2k for it, I may try to neg slightly though
