My super cheap/hopefully super nice build.

Hey all. So posting this thread so that hopefully it motivates me to finish the build. The aim of this build is to not spend any money on the case itself. Cooling and fans is allowed.

So started with this old Dell chassis I had.

Turned it upside down because I wanted the Psu on the bottom and I wanted to see the graphics card. Cut holes on the side and top for Windows.

I cut away the front and mounted 3 fans that will supply all the intake for the case. On the outer side of the front I bent aluminum U tubing and in front of that I'm putting black plexiglass. This should show only the fan LED's

Will update with more soon! I'll also explain my plans. It looks bad still but be patient!

So I have a piece of black painted glossy perspex that's going to separate the hard drives and Psu. I'm also mounting the ssd on it. Going for a red and white build.

I cut and painted a piece of glossy perspex for the top window that will go over the metal

Soon I'm going to paint all the interior white. I also have white and red braided cables for all the components.

That's where I am right now. I still need to buy my Cpu and a bunch of lighting and fans and stuff. Any criticism is welcome

So I have a 970, 8 gigs 1600 ram and a corsair gs700 psu that I'm bringing from my old build. I currently have a 2500k with z68 board and an amd 6300 with a board that I'm looking to sell.

I have my brothers old 1150 board in there at the moment. I'll sell the 2 cpus and mobos and buy something like a 4670k

Yeah gonna use rubber edging around the side panel. Covering the top with perspex.

Started on the 13th, so progress is gonna slow a bit.

Took a pic of my system so far. Looks pretty cool.

I'm not happy with how the front looks, I think I'm gonna fiddle around a bit and find something different for it.
