So in the process of migrating my software collection from one server to another, I had to juggle disks around (never enough space) and, by an incredible set of circumstances, ended up deleting the ENTIRE folder of Microsoft software from my Technet subscription.

Luckily, I had the .pdf file with serial numbers saved at a different location, so that is saved. BUT I am now trying to rebuild the collection from various other drives, laptop, flash disks and wherever else I had little bits and pieces of software saved. All in all there was about 2-3 TB of various Microsoft installs from Technet subscription saved on the server that I lost. Therefore:

Item: Microsoft Technet software
Price: 6-pack of your choice
Link: MS Technet is not existent any more (otherwise I would be able to download again), but if you know what it is, you can probably help (I am fairly sure the MSDN software will also work with my Technet keys)
My collection had everything from MS DOS 6.22, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, Office 2000 and onwards up to 2013 (including Project, Publisher, Outlook, Visio, Groove), and of course the Server series (2003, 2008, 2010, 2012 etc.). While I can certainly find pieces of individual software off the web, I'm tired of chasing legit ISOs from different sites and just want to get all from one place if possible.

I'd be happy to bring over a 6-pack of your choice and my external drive where you can save the software, at your convenience. I can then collect from you when you're done, with gratitude.

Thank you for reading - please PM me if you're able to help. I'm in the Boskruin/Randburg area and don't mind driving within the JHB (possibly PTA) areas.

Ahhhhhh i stand to be corrected but my MSDN accout has 11tb of the software. Most of the stuff that was created by mark russinovich may still be floating around out there.

Why not recover the data? Resuce / DDRescue in Unix does wonders. Yes you need the extra disks to recover the data, but time & effort wise its FAR less then going to track down various flash drives / driving around etc.

I too used to keep all the old software's XP-W10 , Office 2000-2016 etc etc etc but I just had to delete most of it as It's just too old / I dont use it. I don't reinstall machines from clients who run XP. They must provide the software.

yes; I think Technet possibly was about the same size overall as MSDN (never checked TBH), but this was with all the possible variations (32-bit, 64-bit, multi-language etc.). I mostly kept 32-bit versions in the early days, and then moved to only downloading 64-bit versions where applicable, to keep the size of the archive realistic.Do you have most of your stuff downloaded and if so, can I come and get a copy?

I tried to recover as much as possible off the drive, and did manage to retrieve about 30% of the stuff (not more, as I have overwritten the drive in the meantime). but am noticing that a fair amount of ISOs or rars are corrupt - and it's annoying to plan an install and then face a failed attempt because the archive is corrupt..... grrrr

Sorry but i deleted around 7tb 3 months back. Having a 200mb fiber connection at the office makes the backup seem useless.
