Hi.

So most of you guys are aware of my first case I design and built, can be found. HERE
That project was fun, but more importantly I learnt alot.

There were a few incorrect measurement, line ups were'nt perfect etc..

This past few weeks I was jamming my AutoCad alot. After about 5 other designs, I scrapped, I settled on this.

Yes, it i wood. MDF to be exact. It's better to build like this for me until I am 100% satisfied with how things are, before submitting the design for laser cutting in aluminum.

Specs:
320x130x205 (LxWxH)
Dual slot GPU's upto 310mm long
SFX PSU (duh)
CPU coolers upto 50mm (not 100 sure on this)
Currently only supports M.2, but I'm cooking up a solution to mount a 2,5inch somewhere.
Support for a either a 120/92mm fan underneath the PSU and a 92x15 fan underneath the motherboard.

As always, criticism and comments welcome.

I like the mdf for prototyping man!
I see you went for a hard backing to mount the motherboard.. why not just tabs on the external of the chassis?
my 92mm aio keeps up with 130w cpu *wink*

still want to know if you laser the MDF yourself :(

I want to get some alu cable combs done, but having a single 1 CNC'd out of alu costs too much because of "minimum charge" so needing someone *cough cough* to help with the prototyping :(

You should start a service where you sell and build these for carbies!

Plenty of guys wanting some small custom case but can't find anything locally that doesn't cost a small fortune
^^ Definitely what he said!

Apologies for only getting back to you now. I use a local crafts/hobby shop to laser cut for me. They cheap and reasonably quick.
What exactly are you prototyping? A case?

How do you navigate a Chinese site 😅

And how does shipping work to here?

I'd definitely want to try and get my hands on some of those cubes!
I actually wanna see how much a local place will charge to make them, but not sure if they will do the tapping

want to actually have mine just like 15mm x 15mm to maybe get M4 instead of the M3

I use Superbuy. Its like a Chinese middle man site. I tell them I want this on Taobao. They buy it for, store it in their warehouse until I choose shipping to South Africa. I can definitely recommend them.

Noice, why not try a perspex side panel with vertical rounded capped lines? I imagine just circles will take longer to cute and retain more heat.

waterjet or laser shouldn't be an issue

however from what I have seen, price might be a huge factor

wanted to do honeycomb mesh once and it pushed the price up crazy

@souljazk thank you brother. I have located a black MDF wood. I think this will look 100x better when I get it and have it cut again.

So many ideas currently in my head.

1. Extend the case length wise to fit a 120mm AIO
2. Extend height wise for a space for a 240mm AIO.

:D
