So I lost interest in gaming a month or 2 ago and sold my PC. about 3 weeks ago I realised how much gaming is part of me and decided to build my first proper new PC. All the other desktops I had were some new items and some second hand bought on Carb or my time at Computer Mania. People upgrade their PCs and wants to sell their old stuff for dirt cheap. (I bought a 1080 ti for R3000 like this)

Anyways, I am looking for fun multiplayer games to play with a group of 2 or 3.

Current games we playing

  1. CS 2 (Just casually, not in the mood to climb the ranks anymore)
  2. Deadlock(Yes I got access and invited both of them to join)
  3. GrayZone(Feels like the game is dying, 600-800 average daily players on Steam)
  4. Dota 2

Are there any games you can recommend that's probably not known of as much as the mainstream MP games.

I had a look at Incursion Red River and looks like a great game but there is a lack of content at the moment. Same goes for Arena Breakout. There are currently only 18 missions to do and 2 maps from what I can see.

I tend to avoid most multiplayer games, but have recently started again.

2-up: Sniper Elite 5. Co-op, authentic. Very nice challenge. Once you get along nicely, turn on Axis invasion.
2-4-up: Ghost Recon Breakpoint. You can co-op the story missions, which is great.

Any of the Diablo games.

I have played EFT but lost interest after a couple of raids. Also my PC was not that great when I played it for the first time. I think I will give it a go on the new PC.

Thx bud. I do own Breakpoint. To be honest I completely forgot I bought the game 😅.

I only played Sniper Elite 1 and 2. I will definitely have a look.

I was like this too when i first bought it. Took me 2 wipes to really get into it. Then one day something just clicked and then i started getting a bit more decent at the game and now every other game doesn't give me that rush.

But no worries man, different strokes!

Another game that I really enjoy is Scum but there are probably less than 200 players on all the ZA servers combined. I feel this is a very underrated game but the servers are very limited. You can either play on a server with 40+ players with a bot shop(These servers are more PVP focused and removes most of the survival aspects) or you can play on a server with only 10 people with a very low to no chance to run into other players.

Maybe you should mention the types of games you like to play.

That aside, project zomboid is a great easy-to-learn-hard to master multiplayer game.

If you don't want to play with the sweaty Chad lords and cheaters, PvE is a good option if you have EOD or if you buy the PvE expansion. Am enjoining playing PvE at my own pace.

There is a little game called orgy that you can play with 2 or 3 friends 😂. No need to have an expensive PC

If you and a friend are into platformers, I highly recommend trying It Takes Two. The story may or may not be for you (about parents rekindling their relationship), but the platforming is fantastic. Lots of clever ideas and fun moments, requires a lot of co-op to solve puzzles

I mostly like survival games where you build your base and have to get food and supplies. When I started playing Scum we played on a server called Ragnarok. It was the closest experience to a "Walking Dead" game. There were no bot shops or mechs. Only puppets with insane damage and very scarce supplies. I had a server with similar settings but it gets expensive to add more slots and ended up closing the server.

If I can just get a Scum server with no Mechs, no suicide bombers and vanilla loot settings again.

List of genres I enjoy and games I've enjoyed in the said genre.

Survival Games

Scum(obviously but group doesn't like the game)
DayZ(Does not come close to Scum, mods are nice tho)
Valheim(Great game, group don't like it as much as I do)
Rust(Meh)
The Forest(Meh)
Don't Starve Together(Great game, Group wont enjoy tho)

There are too many to name.

MMO's

I played most of the MMOs on the market but I enjoy BDO the most. Dont have time for the 4-6 hour grind a day anymore

FPS

CS2
Apex
BF 2042(Yes bite me, I actually enjoyed the game)

I've tried First Descendant but it feels too repetitive. Basically most of the hyped games I've tried. I am more looking at those hidden gems if you know of any.

I haven't played it takes two but we enjoyed A Way Out.

I see there is a first person type of Among Us on steam for like R100. Has anyone tried it?

For the life of me I can't remember the name.

I will look at this at home. Rather not try while everyone walking past my office can see what I am doing on my PC 🤣

Some more shooter recommendations:

Risk of Rain 2
Crab Champions
Gunfire Reborn (I think this one is also on game pass, so you can try it out there if you have game pass already)

I tend to really enjoy roguelike games, and all of these ones can be played with multiple friends

Take down Xenos scum in the name of the Emperor of mankind and join your battle brothers in Space Marine 2

Project zomboid 100% if you don't mind the isometric camera. Unless you are a gaming prodigy, you will be very busy (re)trying to survive past the first few months with base building, supply gathering, and skill training, the game is challenging. You can also add mods later that give you more options and customisations.

The price is relatively cheap if you buy the 4 pack to share and split with your friends (I got 2 spare keys if you want for cheap :ROFLMAO: ), and you can setup your own dedicated server if you got a spare quad core pc.

Ahh got it. The game is

Lockdown Protocol.

Any thoughts on the game?

You can always give Borderlands series a try as well.
It was quite fun (1 and 2) for me

Helldivers 2, and Space Marines 2. I'm not a fan of Multiplayer games most of the time, but Helldivers is turning out to be my all time favorite, and can play up to 4 players on a squad. Seriously worth considering, and not priced too badly either

TrackMania! cup of the day.

Do you have controllers? MX Bikes & GP Bikes.

Xbox PC game pass for stuff like Forza.

Foxhole.

Squad, Hell let Loose, Ground Branch.

Street Fighter / Brawlhalla.

Age of Empires 2 / Stormgate.

Wallpaper engine. that is all.

Already finished the campaign on Space Marine 2. Best part was where you have to defend the banner. I get goose bumps just thinking of it. I will highly recommend Space Marine 2. Multiplayer is also fun.
