Selling my old LGA1155 MSI Z68A-GD80 (G3) Gaming motherboard, since I upgraded to a new rig. The board is in excellent condition and works perfectly, apart from 2 issues:
1. Network controller chip (ethernet ports) doesn't work anymore (I'm including a USB to ethernet adapter in this deal that I've been using for the past 5 years or so without any issues)
2. 1 of the 4 RAM slots does not work properly. No physical damage, but when testing a single stick of RAM in each slot individually, the system won't boot when it is installed into one specific slot. Motherboard has 4x RAM slots so if you're planning on using only 2x RAM modules, everything works fine and you can run dual channel DDR3 without issue (in the alternative 2 slots), like I've been doing for years. If you plan on using 4x sticks of RAM though, then this will present a problem.
Pricing reflects the 2 issues present. Other than those, the board is in great condition and everything works fine. Built to last, had military grade spec components years ago before the other companies started using solid caps. Power delivery system is very decent. I reckon it was one of the best boards of that generation.
Also have an i5 2500K CPU (R600) that goes with this board for sale, as well as a newish Corsair AIO watercooler (H60 I think but must confirm) (R600).
