Hello to all,

If anyone can assist with this issue please let me know.

So I have had the following hardware and it has been working for almost 3 years now with no major issues.

Ryzen 7 2700X
MSI X470 Gaming Plus Mobo
MSI RX580 8GB OC GPU
Corsair RM1000 PSU

Over the years I have had several ram configurations namely;

GSkill Trident Z 3200MHz 16GB kit 2x8GB. Ran OC at 3200MHz all the time. Then I added another GSkill kit the same as the first and they all played nicely together for quite a long while. The kits were produced more than a year apart and the PCB of the modules even looked slightly different but they worked. Mid last year I changed to GSkill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz 32GB kit 2x16GB and that ran perfectly at 3333MHz. Now I have changed to 2 GSkill Trident Z 3200MHZ kits of 16GB 2x8GB each . The four modules have serial numbers in sequence and are identical in production month and year so they came off the same run/batch.

Now the problem. Running 1 or two modules in any of the slots I get a standard speed of 2133MHz and can overclock to 3200MHz no problem. The moment I add the other two modules I get a standard speed of 1866MHz and no overclocking. If I set the XMP to 3200MHz and restart I get the CPU debug LED and the standard several reboots till it boots at default settings.

I have tried almost all of the BIOS updates with no joy yet. A0 A4 A5 A6 A7 A9 AH AK2, I will still work through the rest but my first and second ram setups all ran perfectly on A7.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Went to the Memory Try It option and selected 2800MHZ at the same Timings and blam, all working perfectly. No idea why they won't run at full tilt but I am okay with 2800. Thanks
