1. Accurate description of problem

I have strange issues. It seems my mouse is freezing (unsure if its system freeze or mouse issue).

When doing anything on my desktop, my mouse pointer gets 'stuck' and then jumps after a second in the direction I moved the mouse. From what I can tell, this hasn't happened in a game so only happening when on my desktop. I tried to see if it was system freezing or my mouse by using a stop watch but it didn't happen during this at all. This happens once every minute or so but not at all when the stopwatch was running

2. Device make and model

System is in my signature, Logitech G502 Hero mouse, Steelseries APEX 7 TKL keyboard.

3. OS / firmware version

Windows 10 PRO - 20H2 - fully updated.
G502 Hero firmware - don't know and unsure how to check.
Using latest Logitech G-Hub software

4. What changed before the problem occurred?

To be honest, after upgrading my whole system basically. Basically a fully new system, new SSD and clean windows.

5. Is this for home use or business use?

Home

6. If business, was it part of an Authentication Domain or did it have a MS account, etc?

N/A

7. What steps I have tried.

Reinstalling Logitech G-Hub and mouse drivers, DDU in safe mode, SFC Scan, Safe mode (yes happens in safe mode), enable/disable precision mouse pointer.

8. Steps I am trying next.

Test with a different mouse tonight and testing the G502 Hero on a laptop at work tomorrow.

Different USB port - reason being is that I have it plugged into my monitor which has a cable running to my PC for extra USB ports

quick thing to try. Check mb manual for an add on usb chispet.

Run mouse from that usb port.

Things to try

1. drop pcie gpu slot to 3.0 from 4.0
2. plug mouse into a usb 2.0 port
3. plug mouse info bios flash back port (this a usb 2.0 port)

from mboard specs (asrock b550 steel legend) with amd 5600x
4 x USB 2.0 Ports (Supports ESD Protection)
2 x USB 2.0 Headers (Support 4 USB 2.0 ports) (Supports ESD Protection)

other not so great ideas
bios update
try ps2 mouse. you have a ps2 port on the mboard

Based on that, I'd ask what resolution are you running at also what's your DPI scaling set to in Windows as it stays the same in Safe Mode,
Enhance Pointer Precision might be on.
I'd also check your polling rate, since the config might be stored in the mouse hardware Steam Community :: Guide :: How to fix common Logitech G502 accuracy issues in a few steps

Since i upgraded BUT i never used to use my mouse in my monitor USB ports, i only switched to those ports when i upgraded over the last two months

1440P 165HZ using Display port. 100% scaling, enhance pointer is disable. 1000 poling rate being used - this all being said, might be a issue with my monitor USB ports or cable as it seems its all good now connected to the mainboard
