Thanks not sure if i will pick up the higher refresh rate as I am pretty blind, might opt for a decent 27" although I am still split between 24 & 27 "

You will. Anyone will. Stuff doesn't actually happen faster, it just happens smoother. I really wouldn't go for a 75Hz anymore these days unless one happens to end up with one for an office system because the other specs match what one is after.

Ahh thanks I see the Asus Tuf Gaming VG249Q is R 4k on the avo app, good deal just slightly above my budget

The AOC because it has better ergonomics and I can't find a FreeSync window for the Acer whereas the one on the AOC is decent, not great, but decent. Freesync is known to have a crappier window than GSync anyways.

Anyone know the difference between the Asus VG249Q and VG249Q1r ?

Q1r seems to be the latest version and some websites has the VG249Q with HDMI 2.0 while other have it with HDMI 1.4, not sure if anything else differs ?
