So this topic is a very varied topic online without anyone giving a really solid answer.

Basically I've got an Aircon very close to a Bookshelf/Filing Cabinet, I was considering putting the PC onto of the cabinet(probably between 25-30cm) away from the Wall AC at around 22' set on the AC.

My question is, is this fine or is there going to be condensation build up? The door will always pretty much be closed to the room and all windows closed.

The machine will have 2xASUS R9 290's Ref cards in a Corsair 650D case. Basically picture the case lying flat with the side panel off with the AC unit blowing directly in/on the case over all the parts.

What's the risk here, if any?

If your aircon is any good it should dehumidify your room which should prevent any condensation.

22 deg's is fine as long as the room is closed/sealed.

Aircons extract moisture by default,so as long as the pipes running the fluid out can handle the load it'll be fine :p

Just be careful if it dries the air too much you will have static issues. Shouldn't be a problem in Durban though

Aircons are quite expensive to run, especially for just a PC. Just a head ups :p

Knew I could rely on you guys to give a solid answer! :D Cold temps incoming! These ref cards are going to need it...

Interesting fact which you don't need to worry about: air con increases relative humidity. Wrap your head around that one :p
