Hi all.
I need some advice please.
I have a sunsynk solar system in my house with 2 x 5kva batteries and 12 solar panels on the roof, I share the house with several other people and I don't want to nuke the battery if there is extended load shedding.
My 1200watt gaming pc could run these 4 screens with no problem but as things are with the unstable supply of power in the country and regular occurrences of load shedding lasting 6 hours or longer in my area I need to be conservative with my power consumption.

I am doing daily work on a laptop as the power consumption is much lower. I need to be able to work on 4 or more screens and I wonder if there are any micro pcs or laptop models that are able to run 4 or more screens without killing the inverter.

My laptop model has no docking station options and the USB dongles are iffy at best. I am wondering if there are micro pc's or laptops built for this purpose without spending hours on google trying to find models numbers.

Are any of you aware of a micro pc or laptop that can support 4 or more screens that's readily available to purchase in South Africa at the moment ?

Thanks.

What laptop do you have? Does it not support usb c. You can then use a usb doc like the Dell wd19 and then add some usb to hdmi / vga converters.

Even my 8 year old Dell laptop could support multi screens this way.

Btw, your 1200w gaming pc is not going to use 1200w if you are doing office work on it. Probably not even when gaming.

I have an MSI Pulse GL66
I tried the USB C port, but I get this notification "Display connection might be limited".
Only able to connect a HDMI cable at the moment

This.

I'd be surprised if you even use half that when gaming.

The most I've found on the tiny machines has been 3 monitors. The limitation lies with the low-power GPU that these ship with together with the processor combination.

You could consider a MFF desktop with a second graphics card to bump the amount of outputs. I did this at the office a few years ago to drive 4 monitors, it was capable of 7 (3 on-board and 4 from the add-on) but I didn't have the desk space.

Something with an i7 and Intel Iris Xe GPU combo could potentially support 4x4k outputs on-board, perhaps you can find a machine that has all of that bundled together.
