I think this only goes for PC versions of Bedrock/Java

I got the Minecraft version via the Microsoft store. My son watches all manner of mods on YouTube that seemingly can't run on it because it's not Java or Bedrock.

Some days he hates me, some days I hate me too for this.

The Microsoft store one is Bedrock. Java has all the mods.
