Hai, Recently got some nice cash to get myself a decent keyboard. Looking around the Corsair K70 or Razer Chroma range. I need some advice on what keys to get, Cherry MX Red, Brown or Blue.

Personally i game a lot, but also tend to wright reviews, short stories etc.. so taking that into a factor what is your experience with these keys?

Thanks in advance!

Was going to do the same, but to be honest. I dont like the way the keys are edged, i have a weird gamers and typing grip that would probably annoy the hell out of me on that keyboard, but the features are amazing on that thing.

Either, but im more of a gamer so probably linear.

My advice? Find one to type on for a bit.
(And if you write a lot, spell it right ;))

I typed on a red for a day and bought a brown. Not all that much of a difference between the two, although for lots of gaming the notch in the brown might irritate you.
I am still not sure if I can justify the expense.

One thing I'm not used to just yet, is the midway actuation point. I spent today coding on my laptop and am typing a few thing out of order again. If you'll be swapping between your mechanical and normal keyboard often, perhaps mechanical is not a good choice.

It's crazy how bad it feels typing on laptop after a mechanical weekend...

I have a CM Storm Quickfire pro with blue switches and it's pretty decent. The blues are good for typing as well as gaming, I recommend giving them a try. Apparently green and brown are the other tactiles that are rarer but also good.
