As I said before, we can't be 100% certain.

But as I see it, he was forced by the chalice to reveal his faction. We been through this already

But it was not the chalice that said it, the chalice asked, and Denz actually answered .So do not think that theory works well. I do get what you are saying that we can't be 100% sure, but best we have to go on now by far!

On the 3rd day enough members find common ground to lynch someone. @Denz1001 is their target and they are angry. Instead of writing his name on parchment and submitting it to the Chalice, they physically push Denz'es head into the Chalice repeatedly. With brains oozing out his eyes the Chalice declares. Stop!! Stop!! He is already DEAD.

As the Black fog flows from the Cup the Chalice reveals. @Denz1001 to be just a regular Townie without his wand.
