Why touch screen?

Imho it is just a nice feature to have, especially if you are paying premium $$$ for a item.
I use a touch screen Asus lappy regularly and to be able to touch where you want when you want, without needing to move your finger all over a trackpad to move a pointer makes using the thing more convenient (Browser & scrolling in word docs) and it is a natural cross over if you are used to using a touch screen phone/ tablet.
