Hi
I have a friend needing to replace his current SSD* on his Macbook Air 2017 Model which has 1 Thunderbolt port.
Now I am mostly a Windows/Intel guy and I know enough about Apple products to stay away, but need some advice please
From what I can gather Apple has a proprietary or custom connecter for these SSDs and in some cases they are even soldered onto the logic board.
1. Would I need to purchase the specific SSD with the apple connector?
2. Is there a cheaper alternative to the above, I've noticed some adapters that's got the apple connector on the one side and nvme on the other.
Thanks,
