Hi everyone,

I am looking for an email address or something of value to contact a member of the Luno team directly; so as to bypass their ticketing system.
My account has been disabled for over a month due to me forwarding them a phishing email that their own Facebook team suggested I do.

They contacted me and acknowledged that it was an error and my account has been scheduled for reactivation. This has happened every week for the past month and a bit. I am getting truly tired of this. Luno has been doing such a good job for me up till now and this has really soured my view on them.

If anyone has anything that can help me out, please feel free to PM me.
Thanks

They have a rep on MyBroadBand. Contact the rep there.

Thanks. I have posted there but would still appreciate it if anyone has any details for anyone higher up the rung at Luno. :)

Send the Luno rep a PM too on MyBroadband.

I have a serious problem with companies who don't provide telephone numbers.

I am sure you are aware of this but in case you not, there's always Altcointrader.co.za as a backup while you fight this fight with them.

Was looking at Luno, but moved to altcointrader as it was easier for me.
But had 2 instances where people tried to hack my altcointrader account. Strangely enough for them, I don't trade in bitcoin anymore, so it is empty. lol

Going to move all my BTC from Luno to Altcointrader. Just checked now properly.....LUNO actively and decisively and purposefully do not list ANY contact numbers or addresses for their business.

With all the scams and stuff happening in the world today, I am surprised nobody finds a massive issue with that. Altcointrader on the hand, who are by no means the best when it comes to service, list their physical address, landline contact number, business registration number, and office hours in one click on their contact us page.

Like I said. They are by no means stellar at service. They tried to screw me out of a BTC deposit. But at least their is something I can do as I know where the business is physically situated. What do you do WHEN Luno does the same? Go to FB?

I dont know hey, i guess ill figure that out if it comes, but at present being able to draw out of luno with the off chance of something going wrong is better than not being able to draw out of altcoin

Hope you don't ever have the same issue as the OP.

Apologies about the wait.
Still nothing and nothing from the Luno rep either. I think it's time to start spamming them.

I'm considering moving away from Link because of this level of service. All brave faces but behind the scenes, it's just a façade. I am severely disappointed.

Do you guys think a company like Luno would react at all to a HelloPeter post? This is getting to a point where i would try almost anything to get noticed and have my account reenabled. It's not even that much money in the grand scheme of things, but it's now pretty much he bulk of my mining money which I then use to trade. Still a 4 digit number and If I was scammed out of the amount, it would be enough to warrant a case.

I am getting pretty upset now that Luno and everyone I have spoken to at Luno are promising the world but delivering sod-all.

Go visit the branch and break stuff until they unlock my account? I'll even pay for your petrol there and back and maybe even a coffee too. XD

For such a futuristic New Asset Class as Crypto Currency is, Luno is years behind the curve!

The amount of money they are making but how slow they are reacting to anything happening in the market is just plain ridiculous! I've stopped using Luno almost a year ago now.

Still no update. Got a reply back from Luno with the same rubbish about escalating my ticket and all that rubbish.

Going to start complaining daily now.

I am hounding the monkey's ass rep on MyBroadband too. Will start doing it daily as well. Have moved all my BTC away from Luno to Altcointrader. Their support is quite shocking.

I appreciate your support man. Keep going at it and perhaps one of us can get some answers here.

I had a similar issue, I had my 2FA locked because I switched phones and forgot to keep my recovery code, I sent my verification docs about 10 times as requested without response, eventually the rep on MYBB sorted me out. However it did take a month and should the market have crashed at that time there is nothing I could have done. Sad support.

Hi everyone,

So today I logged into my Luno account and it has FINALLY been reactivated after two months of being down.

I am very upset as to the manner in which Luno handled this issue.

- I had to be the one to ask for updates regarding a ticket that they had responded to.
- Many promises with no recourse to them.
- Emails simply ignored or responded to with the same replies of promises.
- I had to nag and create this thread in the first place.

I would like to thank ambroseg1 for his help in all of this. It is finally sorted and I really hope that any future Luno clients see this thread and think twice about it all.
I am still on the lookout for any contact details for someone higher up in Luno so that I can write a complaint.

This was a very unpleasant experience to an otherwise okay service and I hope that I do not have it again.
