Using a telkom sim. I cn test mtn late tomorrow afternoon when I get home but I'm told it's not network locked.

Check CNA/Edgars for the same unit it is supposedly cheaper even for the telkom unit

Must be able you go roaming on other networks with local data sim

The units that Telkom are selling are open network. More specifically, they are the B315s-936. I'm using mine with an MTN SIM card.

Note that the R1309 prepaid deal is only available at Telkom Direct and not franchise stores.

i have a friend that wants to get rid of his vodafone b2000 (reflashed huawei b593u12), its not locked but obviously doesnt support telkom's td-lte, but on vodacom lte worked fine.
im sure he'll sell it for R850-900 at the most. he's already upgraded to the new telkom lte router.
let me know if you are still looking, he is in durbanville area.
