Hi guys.

I have 4 mining rigs. Pics = Items Shared on 2021-12-02
1 mining rig has 1 motherboard with 5x rx550's(1x4GB + 4x 2GB) and 7x 1050 TIs [PSU = 2x 450w/500w(not 100% sure)]

3 other rigs with 2 motherboards each and 6x 1050 TIs per motherboard [PSU = 1x 450w/500w per motherboard]

I'm wanting to upgrade as these are not mining that well (30mhs ravencoin per 6 cards)

I'm looking at get 2-3 3080s with a single motherboard and 1000w psu

I plan on selling off these old rigs and buying new stuff budget +-R80K

any advice would be appreciated:)

Go LHR. You are going to pay 29-31k for a FHR 3080. They retail between 22-26k brand new.

And you say I should go 3080, any other cards that could be as efficient?

Uh oh more competition for cards : (

A 3080 LHR at ~R23k is as efficient as a 3070 FHR which used to sell at R20k around the peak.
On ETH you can get 70% hash power from it, 60 or 70mh if you lucky.

The LHR cards can now do 30% ETH mining and 70% on another coin to get full use out of the card.
So at that hashrate on ETH (20-35mh) I think 3080 may be most efficient.

3080ti if you can get it between 25-28k would be optimal.

The return on 3070ti may be worthwhile now as well.

Yeah but people are getting crazy with 3070 FHR. I would say 3070FHR is the best but prices are to high. 3080 is a good choice as some prices are good and you can get away with 4 3080 LHRs

I'm still leaning more towards the 3 3080s because of the power versus profability
I would go with 9x XFX 6600 cards. Currently R8k each with wootware giving you 261MH/s @ R72000.

I have 6 at the moment and they are hashing stable at 29.2MH/s with 50-55W power consumption.

The rx 6800 do 62 to 65mhs has well but prices increased I think

I actually meant to close this thread as I have bought 6 3060's for @11k each. 33MHs @90 watts. Planning on getting 2 more. Thank for your input though
